Meet our Principal Therapist:

Dr. Brian Olmstead PT DPT MA CSCS

Or as we so affectionately refer to him as Dr. B, he is the Clinical Supervisor at Physical Therapy Now of West Boca Raton and is a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy in the State of Florida.  Brian was raised in Elmira Heights, NY and attended SUNY Buffalo for his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science with an internship at Duke University in Cardiac Rehabilitation.  Doctor Olmstead attended Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri receiving dual graduate degrees:  A Master’s Degree in Healthcare Management and his Doctor of Physical Therapy. Brian is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the Florida Physical Therapy Associaton (FPTA). He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Associaton (NSCA) and has over 10 years experience training athletes and weekend warriors alike.  Brian is a practicing “RockDoc” certified in level 1 & 2 fascial movement taping (FMT) and Performance movement techniques (PMT).

Doctor Olmstead brings with him a World of service to our clinic. Brian served as a United States Marine Corps (USMC) Officer for eleven years as a Helicopter pilot in global combat, humanitarian aid and disaster relief operations.  His experience as a Casualty Evacuation Pilot shapes his gung-ho attitude towards healing his patients with creative techniques that are personally tailored to each patient. He says “Aviation is a great metaphor for patient care, I’ve thousands of hours operating and monitoring a complex system of machinery in ever changing climates, timelines, and landscapes – you quickly learn that every mission is distinct, and success depends on unique actions and reactions.  As such, each patient I treat is distinct and receives unique treatment. He maintains his Professional Pilot’s license as a civilian private and commercial fixed wing and rotary wing Pilot.

Brian has twenty years of athletic experience in bodybuilding and running.  He has completed 5 full marathon races and loves adventure obstacle races.  He states, “ I believe that leadership in Physical Therapy means setting an example of health and wellness that starts with me – I’ve pushed my body to its physical limits – it makes me adept at coaching health and wellness out of my patients.
